We are seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable Permanent Tax Senior to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client accounting, healthcare, manufacturing, and corporations. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to strategic decision-making, and play a key role in tax planning and compliance. You will have the chance to use your skills to make a significant impact on the company's financial health and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Managing and coordinating tax audits.
2. Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns and projections.
3. Assisting with strategic tax planning and risk management.
4. Maintaining tax balances on general ledger by preparing and reviewing journal entries.
5. Identifying tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
6. Liaising with internal and external auditors.
7. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and laws.
8. Providing support to the Tax Manager and other members of the finance team as needed.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, Enrolled Agent (EA) certification, or equivalent.
3. Extensive experience with client accounting, healthcare, manufacturing, and corporations.
4. Proven experience as a Tax Senior or Tax Manager.
5. Proficiency in tax preparation and review.
6. Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. High attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
