We are seeking an experienced Permanent Tax Senior to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and is passionate about crunching numbers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for clients. This includes the preparation and review of tax returns and tax planning for clients. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of seasoned professionals, providing tax planning assistance, bookkeeping, and payroll services. Responsibilities
1. Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and not-for-profit organizations.
2. Manage the 1099 processing, payroll, and bookkeeping duties for a diverse portfolio of clients.
3. Provide tax planning assistance to clients, ensuring they are in compliance with all federal and state tax laws.
4. Research complex tax issues and provide guidance to clients and team members.
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all tax-related matters are handled promptly and accurately.
6. Keep up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations to provide the most accurate advice and guidance to clients.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies that help clients achieve their financial goals.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. CPA certification or the ability to sit for the CPA exam.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a tax role with a public accounting firm or equivalent.
4. Proficient with 1099 processing, payroll, bookkeeping, and tax planning assistance.
5. Detailed knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
6. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
10. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
11. A strong commitment to providing exceptional client service.
