We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Tax Senior to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax strategy, compliance, and planning activities. This role will also involve the management of tax-related financial reporting and the provision of tax advice to various business units within the company.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of federal, state, and local tax compliance, ensuring all tax returns are completed accurately and on time.
2. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal, state and local taxes.
3. Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
4. Provide expert guidance on payroll tax matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
5. Utilize QuickBooks for financial reporting, tax calculations, and other related tasks.
6. Assist in the preparation and review of tax-related items in the company’s SEC filings.
7. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
8. Stay abreast of changes in tax law and regulations to determine the impact on the company’s operations and make appropriate recommendations.
9. Act as the Enrolled Agent (EA) for the company, representing the organization before the IRS.
10. Provide guidance and support to junior staff and other departments on tax-related matters.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Current and valid Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
4. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance, tax planning, and tax provision.
5. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and concise manner.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism.
10. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
