Our Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Supervisor/Manager to join our growing financial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a focus on tax, SALT, and accounting to bring their expertise to a fast-paced, innovative financial environment. The successful candidate will oversee all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal tax laws and regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in tax planning and risk management, who can effectively communicate complex tax issues to a diverse audience.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all tax operations, including tax planning, compliance, and returns.
• Ensure the company is in compliance with all SALT (State and Local Tax) regulations.
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide tax advice and guidance on business decisions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax audits.
• Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities for the company and advise management on the tax impact of business decisions.
• Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions and disclosures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager or tax supervisor role.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Extensive knowledge of SALT regulations, federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
