Our Client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Supervisor/Manager to join our growing financial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a focus on tax, SALT, and accounting to bring their expertise to a fast-paced, innovative financial environment. The successful candidate will oversee all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with state, local, and federal tax laws and regulations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in tax planning and risk management, who can effectively communicate complex tax issues to a diverse audience.

- Manage and oversee all tax operations, including tax planning, compliance, and returns.
- Ensure the company is in compliance with all SALT (State and Local Tax) regulations.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide tax advice and guidance on business decisions.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage tax audits.
- Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
- Identify tax risks and opportunities for the company and advise management on the tax impact of business decisions.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions and disclosures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager or tax supervisor role.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Extensive knowledge of SALT regulations, federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business needs.
