Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Review drawings and 3D models to create detailed cost estimates for parts and assemblies.
Work with internal teams to gather data on materials, labor, and equipment needed for production.
Build cost models and proposals using standard tools and templates.
Help identify the most efficient manufacturing processes and recommend equipment when needed.
Assist with early-stage project planning and present technical solutions to customers.
Use CAD software (such as SolidWorks) for design reviews and manufacturing analysis (DFM).
Support new project handoffs to make sure estimates match final plans.
Look for ways to reduce costs and improve efficiency in design and manufacturing.
Stay current on manufacturing methods, technologies, and tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
5+ years of experience in cost estimating or technical project planning within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes like molding, machining, or assembly.
Skilled at reviewing technical drawings and using CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and collaborate across teams.
Familiarity with quality standards and basic regulatory requirements is a plus.
