Currently seeking an Application and Technical Support Engineer in Fairfield County. This role will be providing providing inside sales and technical support for HVAC products and systems used in critical environments such as laboratories, hospitals, and institutional facilities.

In this position, you'll work closely with external sales teams, manufacturer’s representatives, consulting engineers, and contractors, responding to inquiries, providing application support, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. You'll gain hands-on training and support from experienced team members while developing a strong foundation in HVAC applications, engineering specifications, and customer service.

This role is an on-office based in Danbury, CT, and offers a great opportunity for someone passionate about technical solutions, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the go-to technical resource for external sales teams, manufacturer reps, and customers, ensuring excellent service pre- and post-sale.
  • Develop expertise in HVAC systems and the company’s product line to provide informed recommendations to engineers and contractors.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to identify the best product solutions, while recognizing potential exceptions.
  • Support the preparation of submittal packages, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation as needed.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries via phone and email, assisting with product selection, order processing, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Initiate follow-ups with customers to clarify order details, resolve technical issues, and provide additional support.
  • Assist in processing Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and coordinate with the service team for troubleshooting and product returns.
  • Occasionally attend industry trade shows in a supporting role.
  • Participate in training seminars to stay up to date on HVAC trends, technologies, and product advancements.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field is preferred, but a 2-year technical degree with 2+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
  • Strong technical aptitude with an eagerness to learn about HVAC systems and controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—you’ll be explaining technical concepts to a range of professionals.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a general comfort with technology.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of HVAC building automation systems is a plus
