Telecom System Engineer/Test Automation QA

Provides services to one of the country’s largest cellular network service providers and we have an opening for a Test Automation QA (Telecom System Engineer).

The position will join the existing, the high-performance team developing, testing, deploying, and supporting an automated network testing platform for a US Tier 1 cellular network operator. The team collaborates with test equipment OEM and internal platform/service owners to identify and implement automation to increase the efficiency and accuracy of network testing. This requires personnel with existing knowledge of telecom network technology and a hunger to learn more about new technologies.

The team is based in Redmond, WA, and is able to perform some duties remotely. However, there will be times when onsite work at the customer’s premises is required so candidates need to be local. Our customer enforces CDC requirements throughout all its premises.

Duties:
Interact closely with architect/design teams to understand Test automation requirements and design.
Design, develop, and execute test cases for Integration / System / Regression testing, for Packet core Test Automation solutions.
Bug reporting and tracking.

Required Experience:
QA or relevant experiences in EPC / 5GC / IMS.
Good understanding of EPC / 5GC / IMS network architecture, 3GPP call flows, and services.
Hands-on experiences and troubleshooting capabilities with EPC / 5GC / IMS nodes and call flow.
Hands-on experience on Linux.
Quick learner.

Preferred Experience:
Understanding of Web applications.
Understanding of software architecture and design.
Packet core knowledge.
Technical writing.
Jira/QC Experience.
