We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Telecom Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing their expertise in Video Surveillance and heavily in structured cabling and telecom.
Responsibilities:
1. Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems including Video Surveillance, Control 4, Fire Alarm, Intrusion Detection, and Building Automation.
2. Perform regular tests and inspections on telecom systems to ensure optimal operation.
3. Provide technical support and training to staff and clients.
4. Coordinate with the construction team to ensure the proper integration of the telecom systems.
5. Implement fire protection measures and ensure they are in line with industry standards and regulations.
6. Adhere to BICSI and NICET guidelines and standards in all project execution.
7. Handle electrical construction tasks related to the installation and maintenance of telecom systems.
8. Manage access control systems, ensuring the safety and security of the premises.
9. Troubleshoot complex telecom issues using diagnostic tools.
10. Document all actions, installations, maintenance, and repairs.
11. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the field of telecommunications.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Telecom Technician in the construction industry.
2. Proficient knowledge of Video Surveillance, Control 4, Fire Alarm, Intrusion Detection, Building Automation, Fire Protection, BICSI, NICET, Electrical Construction, Access Control, and Installation.
3. Proven experience with telecom systems, electrical systems, and automation.
4. Strong understanding of fire protection standards and regulations.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex telecom issues.
6. Exceptional technical skills with the ability to train and support staff and clients.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work in a team and coordinate with various departments.
9. Must have a valid driver’s license.
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
11. A degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
12. BICSI and/or NICET certifications are a plus.
