Job Details
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the tool and die department, ensuring all work is completed on time and to a high standard.
2. Overseeing the design and production of tooling and die equipment, ensuring they meet our quality and efficiency standards.
3. Managing the maintenance and repair of existing tooling and die systems, ensuring they are operating at their optimum.
4. Collaborating with other departments to understand their tooling needs and provide effective solutions.
5. Implementing and enforcing safety regulations and procedures within the tool and die department.
6. Training and mentoring staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
8. Leading problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts related to tooling and die systems.
9. Keeping abreast of latest industry trends and technologies, implementing them to improve our operations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Tool & Die Manager role will have:
1. A minimum of 10+ years of experience in the tool and die field, preferably 3 in a leadership role.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience with 5 Axis, Stamping, Machining, Tooling, Aluminum, Welding, Lathe, CAD Software, Fabricating, GD&T, Mechanical Maintenance, CNC, Machine Maintenance, Die Tooling, Tooling designs, and Tool & Die Making.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a team.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other departments and convey technical information to non-technical colleagues.
6. A commitment to safety, with knowledge and experience implementing and enforcing safety regulations and procedures.
7. A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous.
