This role involves a variety of tasks, including inventory management, machine tool operation, ordering supplies, heat tool handling, regrinding tasks, utilizing wintool, and understanding the manufacturing process. This is a full-time position that requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the tool room inventory, ensuring all tools and equipment are accounted for and properly stored.
2. Operate and maintain machine tools with precision and care.
3. Order and restock tool room supplies as necessary to prevent any disruptions in the manufacturing process.
4. Handle heat tools safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols.
5. Perform regrinding tasks as required, ensuring tools are kept in optimal working condition.
6. Utilize wintool software (a bonus) for tool management and inventory control.
7. Understand and contribute to the manufacturing process, identifying any areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
8. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all company policies and safety regulations.
9. Coordinate closely with other team members and departments, providing support and assistance as needed.
10. Perform regular inspections of tools and equipment, arranging for repairs or replacements as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tool Room Attendant or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient in inventory management and machine tool operation.
3. Experience with ordering and restocking supplies.
4. Proficient in handling heat tools and performing regrinding tasks.
5. Familiarity with wintool or similar tool management software.
6. A solid understanding of the manufacturing process.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
9. A commitment to safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
10. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
11. High school diploma or equivalent. A relevant certification or degree is a plus.
12. Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
