Our company is seeking a dynamic, experienced Consulting Assistant Superintendent to join our thriving construction team. This role is integral to the success of our construction projects, overseeing all aspects of tract home construction from planning and scheduling to budgeting and quality management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of site preparation, subcontractor management, and trade coordination. This role is vital in ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, managing materials, and negotiating contracts. The Consulting Assistant Superintendent will also be responsible for lot layout, time management, and maintaining clear communication lines with all stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle management, from planning and scheduling to execution and delivery.
2. Manage the preparation of construction sites, ensuring all safety regulations and procedures are adhered to.
3. Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, tradespeople, and other construction workers.
4. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all work is carried out within financial parameters.
5. Implement and maintain quality management strategies and processes to ensure all work meets the highest standards.
6. Coordinate lot layout and manage the use and distribution of materials.
7. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring the best value for the company.
8. Manage and monitor project timelines, ensuring all work is completed on schedule.
9. Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
10. Continually assess and manage project risks, implementing mitigation measures where necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically with tract homes.
2. Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage site preparation and subcontractor coordination.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction trades and materials.
5. Proven track record in quality management and adherence to safety protocols.
6. Experience in lot layout and contract negotiation.
7. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to a variety of stakeholders.
9. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Certifications in project management, safety management, or related areas are an advantage.
