We are seeking a full time Transactional Real Estate Attorney to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of real estate transactions, ranging from residential to commercial projects. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of real estate law, construction law, and have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Responsibilities:
As a Transactional Real Estate Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, construction contracts, and property management agreements.
2. Providing legal advice to clients on a variety of real estate matters, including zoning laws, property taxes, and environmental regulations.
3. Representing clients in real estate transactions, including conducting due diligence, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
4. Working closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure that all real estate transactions are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
5. Advising clients on potential legal risks and developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
6. Keeping up-to-date with changes in real estate law and informing clients of any changes that may affect their real estate transactions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a real estate attorney, with a focus on transactional work.
3. A strong understanding of real estate law, construction law, and related areas.
4. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to draft and review complex legal agreements.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal decisions.
7. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
8. Admission to the MD state bar (or the ability to obtain admission within a reasonable time frame).
