Primary Job Responsibilities
Reviewing and performing Transmission Line modeling/analysis with industry leading software (PLS-CADD)
Design and structural analysis of transmission line structures which include steel poles and lattice tower structures.
Design and analysis of high moment capacity foundations for transmission line structures.
Conducting structural analysis and developing design options for transmission line structures.
Helping preparing cost estimates or specifications for projects.
Ability to work in team environment but also work independently.
Participate in internal and external training and conferences to improve knowledge and improve professional growth.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required (Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
The candidate must have good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
Preferred Qualifications
EIT (Engineering in Training)
A Professional Engineering license (PE)
Previous experience in designing projects and leading project teams for EHV transmission lines.
Experience using PLS CADD, PLS POLE and PLS TOWER software packages.
Experience in foundation design using L-PILE/MFAD design programs.
Transmission structure load and design.
Experience in field design reviews and/or construction observation
