As a Transportation Project Engineer, you will be joining a dynamic team of engineering professionals engaged in the delivery of state-of-the-art transportation projects. Our organization is committed to providing innovative solutions to the complex challenges in the transportation sector. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about engineering and has a strong desire to make a positive impact on our community. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the design, planning, and implementation of various transportation projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, plan, and supervise transportation projects, ensuring they adhere to established technical specifications, budget constraints, and timeframes.
2. Utilize your expertise in INDOT, Microstation, and AutoCAD to develop detailed design drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
3. Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather necessary data for the planning and design process.
4. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including architects, planners, and contractors, to ensure project objectives are met.
5. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and provide practical engineering solutions to mitigate risks.
6. Prepare comprehensive project reports and present findings to stakeholders, including clients, management, and regulatory bodies.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting the transportation sector.
8. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation engineering
3. Experience with INDOT Design Manual, Microstation, and AutoCAD.
4. Proven track record of successfully inspecting heavy highway projects
5. In-depth knowledge of transportation engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex engineering problems and make sound decisions.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
8. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.
9. Strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
