A bit about us:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on ground-up hotel construction for a very reputable and long-standing firm. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing construction operations in the field, supporting the Lead Superintendent in driving the schedule and ensuring a successful project completion. This is a traveling position.

Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in coordinating and supervising all construction activities under the direction of the Lead Superintendent.
2. Supporting field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
3. Reading and understanding construction documents, including plans, specifications, and contracts.
4. Assisting in coordinating with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors.
5. Ensuring all construction work is carried out in accordance with design development and construction documents.
6. Helping maintain job site control, including layout, safety, and quality control.
7. Assisting in resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, ensuring the project is kept on schedule.
8. Supporting the preparation, scheduling, and supervision of the final punch list.
9. Promoting job site safety, encouraging safe work practices, and rectifying job site hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or in a similar field-based role in the construction industry.
2. Experience working on ground-up construction projects; hotel or hospitality construction experience is a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, means and methods, and understanding of building materials, construction equipment, and tools.
4. Proficient in reading and understanding construction documents, including plans, specifications, and contracts.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
6. Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods.
7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
8. Knowledge of construction health and safety regulations.
9. A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
