Job Details


Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing construction activities from initial design through project completion.
2. Ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, providing clear directions and expectations for tasks.
4. Review work progress on a daily basis, addressing any issues or delays immediately.
5. Ensure all safety rules and regulations are adhered to at all times, maintaining a safe and clean job site.
6. Review and understand all contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
7. Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals are met.
8. Conduct quality control inspections, ensuring workmanship meets or exceeds standards.
9. Handle on-site emergencies promptly, coordinating with the relevant parties to resolve issues effectively.
10. Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proven experience in Design-Build Construction is essential.
3. Must have commercial/industrial project experience.
4. Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
5. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a focus on implementing effective solutions.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
7. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
8. Proficiency in using construction management software and other industry-related technological tools.
9. Certifications in construction safety and other relevant areas would be an added advantage.
10. Willingness and ability to travel extensively to project sites is a must.
