Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to create and implement electrical plans.
- Manage and lead a team of electricians and apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure work is progressing as planned and meeting project deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues that arise during the construction process.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of all electrical work done on projects.
- Train and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Foster a safe work environment by enforcing strict adherence to company's safety policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proven experience working on commercial buildings, warehouses, distribution centers, cold storage facilities, and tilt wall/tilt-up constructions.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret electrical plans and blueprints.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and building codes pertaining to electrical work.
- Ability to travel as needed for projects.
- Relevant certification or license as an electrician or electrical contractor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
