Job Details:
We are currently on the hunt for a dynamic and highly skilled Permanent Traveling Field Service Technician. This role is a unique opportunity to combine your technical skills with your love for travel. Our ideal candidate will be a hands-on troubleshooter with a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for maintaining and improving complex manufacturing equipment. This role will require extensive travel to various manufacturing sites, providing an exciting opportunity to see different parts of the country while working on cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

Responsibilities:
As a Traveling Field Service Technician, your duties will include:

1. Traveling to different manufacturing sites to repair, maintain, and improve various types of machinery, including labeling equipment, blow molding equipment, fillers, and packaging machinery.
2. Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with complex manufacturing equipment, including electrical and mechanical faults.
3. Programming (Preferred) and adjusting PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) to optimize machine performance.
4. Working with various software and hardware including Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Rockwell.
5. Providing on-site technical support and training to local staff to ensure optimal machine operation.
6. Documenting service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records in a timely and detailed manner.
7. Recommending system improvements and upgrades, and working closely with the engineering team to implement these changes.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
3. Proficiency in PLCs, programming (preferred), particularly with Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Rockwell.
4. Experience with labeling equipment, blow molding equipment, fillers, and packaging machinery.
5. The ability to travel extensively and work independently.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
7. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide clear and concise reports and instructions.
8. The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing your time effectively.
9. A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
10. A relevant technical degree or equivalent is preferred.
