Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the construction industry. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other construction machinery. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a team of experts, ensuring that all equipment is in top condition and ready for use at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems in heavy equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
  • Rebuild engines, transmissions, and other major components of heavy equipment.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other tools necessary for the job.
  • Work with a team of mechanics and technicians to ensure that all equipment is in top condition and ready for use.
  • Keep detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed on heavy equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are properly stored.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics and power trains.
  • Experience with rebuilding engines, transmissions, and other major components of heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and their components.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems in heavy equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
