Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in court, presenting evidence to best support their case.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Manage all phases of personal injury litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions practice, court hearings, mediations, and jury trials.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in personal injury cases.
  • Comply with all legal standards and regulations, ensuring all actions are in line with legal compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members.
  • Maintain organized case files and manage case calendars.
  • Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the Texas State Bar in good standing.
  • 5+ years of experience as a plaintiff attorney, specifically in personal injury litigation.
  • Extensive trial experience, with a proven record of successful jury trials.
  • Deep understanding of Texas procedure and Texas civil procedure.
  • Proficient in discovery responses, depositions, motions practice, and negotiations.
  • Experience in court hearings and mediations.
  • Excellent case management skills.
  • Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with legal compliance and court proceedings.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
