Job Details
Qualifications
Education: J.D. from an accredited law school; active and in-good-standing license to practice law in Illinois (admission to the Illinois Bar required).
Experience: 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury, medical malpractice, or civil trial work. Proven track record in case management, negotiations, and/or trials is highly desirable.
Skills: Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities; strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills; proficiency in case management software (e.g., Clio or similar). Comfortable with high-pressure environments and a detail-oriented approach to evidence handling.
Personal Attributes: Empathetic and client-focused, with a passion for holding negligent parties accountable. Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Preferred: Experience with catastrophic injury cases, familiarity with Illinois personal injury statutes, or bilingual skills (Spanish a plus, given Chicago's diverse client base).
