Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Trial Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in plaintiffs, trial practice, personal injury, court proceedings, client counseling, legal research, wrongful death, and TBI. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about advocating for clients in the courtroom. You will work closely with our team of skilled attorneys and have the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal or civil litigation.
2. Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during the course of a trial.
3. Conduct legal research and gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
4. Provide counsel to clients on legal rights, advising on the probable outcome of cases.
5. Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
6. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
7. Handle a variety of personal injury cases, with a focus on wrongful death and TBI.
8. Coordinate and communicate effectively with all parties involved in the case, including clients, court officials, and other attorneys.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Must possess a current license to practice law.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a trial attorney, with a focus on wrongful death and TBI cases.
4. Outstanding trial practice skills, with a proven track record of success in the courtroom.
5. Extensive knowledge of court proceedings and experience representing clients in court.
6. Excellent legal research skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal information and make sound decisions.
7. Exceptional client counseling skills, with a commitment to providing high-quality legal advice and representation.
8. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and reach favorable settlements for clients.
9. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
10. Ability to handle a high caseload and work under pressure.
