Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on a wide range of trust and estate matters, including estate planning, trust administration, and estate tax returns.
2. Draft, review, and amend a variety of estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance health care directives.
3. Conduct thorough and detailed research on complex legal and tax-related issues associated with trust and estate law.
4. Prepare and file estate tax returns in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
5. Collaborate with financial advisors and other professionals to develop effective estate plans that meet clients' financial and personal objectives.
6. Represent clients in probate court proceedings and manage all aspects of trust administration.
7. Stay updated with the latest developments in trust and estate law to provide the most accurate and effective advice to clients.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Trust and Estate Attorney.
4. Proven experience in estate planning and trust administration.
5. Proficiency in drafting standard estate planning documents.
6. Strong research skills with the ability to handle complex legal and tax-related issues.
