We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Trust and Estate Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a renowned legal team in the industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and legal support in the area of trusts and estates. You will be working closely with attorneys and clients, contributing significantly to the delivery of top-notch legal services.

Responsibilities:

As a Trust and Estate Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Assisting attorneys in the preparation, drafting, and revision of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
2. Coordinating and managing the e-filing of legal documents in a timely and accurate manner.
3. Assisting with probate and trust administrations, including preparing probate documents and estate tax returns.
4. Maintaining and organizing client files, documents, and information in a meticulous and systematic manner.
5. Conducting legal research on various trust and estate matters as directed by attorneys.
6. Communicating effectively with clients, court personnel, and other professionals to schedule meetings, hearings, and coordinate document signings.
7. Providing general administrative support, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining calendars.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Trust and Estate Legal Assistant position will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or similar role in trusts and estates.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in estate planning, drafting, e-filing, and probate.
3. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research platforms.
4. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
7. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
8. Paralegal certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.
