Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys in all aspects of trust and estate litigation, including case preparation, document management, research, and trial support.
  • Draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct thorough and detailed legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles.
  • Organize and maintain files, correspondence, and other documents.
  • Assist with the preparation of case strategies, including the identification of issues, the gathering of relevant facts, and the development of legal arguments.
  • Coordinate and manage deadlines, ensuring all filings and other legal actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, court officials, and other parties, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Stay current on developments in trust and estate law to provide accurate and timely advice to attorneys.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in trust and estate litigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in law or related field. Paralegal certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal software applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
