Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive advice and services related to trust and estate law, including drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Manage and administer trusts and estates, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide tax planning services, advising clients on income tax, gift tax, and other relevant tax issues.
  • Work with private clients to manage their wealth, including providing advice on wealth transfer and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team to ensure a high level of service is provided to all clients.
  • Keep up to date with changes in trust and estate law, tax law, and other relevant areas, ensuring that all advice and services provided are accurate and up to date.
  • Engage in business development activities to attract new clients and build relationships with existing clients.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school is required.
  • Master of Law (LLM) degree, preferably in Tax Law, is highly desirable.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Trust and Estate Attorney.
  • Extensive experience with private client services, wealth management, and tax planning is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of trust and estate law, fiduciary responsibilities, and tax law is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and other members of the legal team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and effective legal solutions.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the state bar.
  • Experience with drafting and administering wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
