Are you passionate about the legal industry with a special interest in Trusts and Estates? Do you have a knack for preparing and drafting estate planning documents? If so, we are looking for a Permanent Trust & Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced paralegal to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field and a background in drafting a wide range of estate planning documents.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Trust & Estate Paralegal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Assisting attorneys with trust and estate administration, including drafting and filing probate documents, estate tax returns, and trust accountings.
2. Preparing and drafting a variety of estate planning documents such as Last Wills and Testaments, Declarations of Trust, and Powers of Attorney.
3. Conducting legal research and analysis related to trust and estate matters.
4. Coordinating with clients, trustees, and financial institutions to gather necessary information and documentation.
5. Maintaining client files, tracking deadlines, and ensuring all legal documents are properly filed and recorded.
6. Providing support to attorneys in the preparation for and attendance at court hearings, depositions, and client meetings.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Trust & Estate Paralegal position, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal with a focus on Trusts and Estates.
2. Proficiency in preparing and drafting estate planning documents such as Last Wills and Testaments, Declarations of Trust, and Powers of Attorney.
3. Strong knowledge of estate and trust tax laws.
4. Excellent research and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
7. Paralegal certification or equivalent is preferred.
