Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Legal Assistant to join our high-performing legal team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience and possess a deep understanding of probate asset lists.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in trusts and estates.
2. Assist in the preparation of probate asset lists and other related documents.
3. Maintain and organize all trust and estate files, ensuring all important documents are accurately filed and easy to locate.
4. Liaise with clients, court personnel, and other parties, demonstrating professionalism and excellent communication skills at all times.
5. Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including wills, trusts, and estate plan documents.
6. Coordinate and schedule meetings, court dates, and other important events.


Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Trust & Estates Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
2. Proven experience in Drafting estate planning packages, preparing probate asset lists, handle probate process ‘start to finish’ & prepare probate documents for efiling & court appearances; calendaring dates in relation to same; scheduling hearing dates & preparing for / attending Will signings.
3. Excellent knowledge of trust and estate law and procedures.
4. Strong research and report-writing skills.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
7. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
