Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Lead sophisticated estate and trust planning engagements, including gift and estate tax strategies for revocable and irrevocable vehicles
  • Oversee estate and trust administration, ensuring timely filings, distributions and compliance with fiduciary duties
  • Develop and implement charitable giving plans tailored to client objectives
  • Advise on family business succession planning, coordinating with financial advisors and business consultants
  • Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, sharing technical expertise and best practices
  • Build and maintain client relationships through clear communication and responsive service
  • Participate in business development activities to grow the practice

Qualifications

  • Admission to the Minnesota bar, in good standing
  • Minimum of seven years of estate planning and trust administration experience
  • Proven ability to manage complex matters independently, from planning through execution and administration
  • Strong background in gift and estate tax planning, charitable planning and family business succession strategies
  • Exceptional legal research, analysis and writing skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach
  • Partial book of business is welcome but not required
