Are you passionate about the legal industry and have a knack for navigating the complexities of trusts and estates? Are you a seasoned attorney with a deep understanding of wealth transfer, fiduciary responsibilities, and tax law? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a Permanent Trusts and Estates Attorney to join our dynamic team. This role will involve a high degree of client interaction and will require excellent negotiation skills. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of planning, wills, and wealth transfer, and the ability to manage fiduciary risks.
Responsibilities:
As our Trusts and Estates Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Providing expert legal advice to clients on all matters related to trusts, estates, wills, and wealth transfer.
2. Crafting comprehensive estate plans, including drafting wills and trusts, to meet the unique needs of each client.
3. Advising on tax law implications related to estate planning and wealth transfer.
4. Serving as a fiduciary, managing and mitigating risks associated with trusts and estates.
5. Conducting negotiations on behalf of clients and resolving disputes related to trusts and estates.
6. Keeping abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients' estate plans.
7. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the best service for our clients.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a trusts and estates attorney, with a proven track record in estate planning, wills, wealth transfer, and fiduciary management.
3. Demonstrated ability to manage an established book of business and a network of clients.
4. Exceptional negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to resolve complex disputes.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in clear, understandable language.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
8. Current license to practice law in the state.
