Job Details
Assist attorneys with all phases of sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters for high-net-worth individuals and families.
Coordinate estate plan execution meetings, oversee document signings, and ensure proper execution and funding requirements are satisfied.
Prepare probate and trust administration filings, court documents, fiduciary accountings, and supporting correspondence.
Communicate directly with clients, trustees, family members, financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals regarding estate planning and administration matters.
Organize and maintain complex estate planning and administration files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm procedures.
Assist with asset transfers, trust funding, beneficiary designations, and related post-execution estate planning matters.
Track critical deadlines and manage probate, trust administration, and estate settlement timelines.
Prepare client correspondence, engagement materials, and supporting documentation for attorney review.
Support billing, matter management, and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of recent Trusts & Estates, Estate Planning, Probate, or Private Wealth paralegal experience within a law firm.
Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees, and fiduciaries preferred.
Strong knowledge of estate planning documents, probate procedures, trust administration, and estate settlement processes.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and client-focused demeanor.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, document management systems, and PDF software.
Ability to handle highly confidential financial and personal information with discretion and professionalism.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
