Job Details
We’re looking for an associate with a minimum of two years of trusts and estates experience to join our highly respected Private Client team. This position can be located in any of our Connecticut offices for a candidate who bring the right mix of experience and enthusiasm.
This role is especially well-suited for someone with a solid foundation in estate planning and administration who also has a strong interest in special needs planning and is eager to grow that aspect of their practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide counsel on trust and estate planning and administration, including document drafting and fiduciary guidance.
Support planning for clients with special needs, including special needs trusts and related issues (prior experience is a plus, but not required).
Advise on personal planning matters such as lifetime giving, retirement asset strategies, charitable planning, and family wealth transfer.
Address tax-related elements of estate plans, including state and federal estate and income tax matters.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on matters involving closely held businesses, fiduciary litigation, and tax-exempt organizations.

At least 2 years of trusts and estates planning and administration experience.
A strong interest in developing a practice that includes special needs planning.
Excellent writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical capabilities and attention to detail.

Creative, proactive problem solver with a commitment to client service.
Admission to the Connecticut Bar in good standing (required).
