We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Union Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting and Finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and processing all aspects of union payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all union employees. You will also be responsible for managing 401K and other benefits. Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process all aspects of union payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment to all union employees.
  • Administer 401K and other benefits, ensuring accurate and timely enrollment and changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all payroll transactions, including deductions, bonuses, and overtime.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Prepare and submit reports on payroll and benefits activities to management.
  • Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues, providing excellent customer service to all employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll and benefits administration.
  • Stay up-to-date on current regulations and trends in payroll and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, specifically with union payroll.
  • Experience with 401K and other benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
  • Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies or issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and payroll software.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
