We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Utilities Electrical Supervisor to join our plant industry team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for the overall supervision and management of our power distribution systems, water systems, and boiler control systems. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with electricity regulations and maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of our power distribution and water systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and comply with all relevant regulations.
  • Supervise the maintenance and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Utilize PLC's, HART communication, and DeviceNet systems to monitor and control our utilities.
  • Act as the electrical foreman, supervising a team of electricians and other staff, and ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standard.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all utilities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure utilities support their needs and objectives.
  • Maintain detailed records of all utilities operations, including any repairs or maintenance carried out, and any issues or incidents that arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in utilities technology and regulations, and implement any necessary changes or improvements.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in utilities management.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Experience as an electrical foreman.
  • Proficiency with PLC's, HART communication, and DeviceNet systems.
  • Knowledge of water systems and boiler control systems.
  • A thorough understanding of power distribution systems and electricity regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to work, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they arise.
