Position Overview

The Valuation Professional will be part of a global team responsible for Private Credit portfolio valuation as well as valuation-related reporting. An ability to manage multiple tasks while working under strict time deadlines is essential. This role will focus primarily on Private Debt, CLO, and Distressed and Special Situations investments. The ideal candidate will have a mix of finance/accounting and strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in overall coordination of monthly and quarterly valuation processes with relevant internal and external
parties including third party service providers and auditors
  • Compile valuations and supporting information and prepare summary packages to be reviewed by senior management and Valuation Committee
  • Support the annual audit as well as interim reviews by tracking documentation and providing information requests to address open audit related items

Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in financial services
  • Experience reviewing and building valuation models (DCF, Comparable Multiple, and Option Pricing Models)
  • Knowledge of capital markets/ illiquid valuations
  • Demonstrated technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including streamlining processes
  • Experience working with debt instruments a plus, preferably in a hedge fund, private equity, or audit environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Information Systems or CPA/CFA
  • Familiarity and experience with financial statements and financial metrics
  • Motivated self-starter with strong analytical skills, and an ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required. VBA experience preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ever changing, and results driven environment
  • Detail oriented, diligent, thorough, and curious
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues
