Job Details

We are seeking a seasoned permanent Veterinarian with a passion for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency room procedures, surgery, and animal science. This position will require the candidate to work in a fast-paced animal hospital setting, utilizing their expertise to ensure the health and well-being of our furry patients. The permanent Veterinarian will be a key member of our healthcare team, working closely with our staff to provide the highest standard of care.

Responsibilities:
1. Perform comprehensive physical examinations on a variety of animals to assess their health status and identify any health problems.
2. Conduct diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, blood samples, and ultrasounds to determine the cause of health problems.
3. Perform surgical procedures, including spay/neuter surgeries, dental procedures, and emergency surgeries.
4. Prescribe medication and provide advice on pet care to animal owners.
5. Collaborate with veterinary assistants and other healthcare team members to provide top-notch care to patients.
6. Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely patient records, including diagnosis, treatment plans, and outcomes.
7. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
8. Educate pet owners on the importance of vaccinations, heartworm treatments, flea and tick prevention, and other aspects of preventive care.

Qualifications:
1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing veterinarian, with a focus on emergency room procedures and surgery.
3. Valid license to practice veterinary medicine.
4. Proven experience working in an animal hospital setting.
5. Extensive knowledge of animal science and veterinary best practices.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical conditions and treatments to pet owners.
7. Ability to handle a variety of animals safely and calmly.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly in emergency situations.
9. Compassionate and understanding nature, with a genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
