A bit about us:

Plans, develops, and directs all Corporate Accounting related activities for the affiliated corporate entities and for centralized Billing & Collections and Accounts Payable activities for corporate and community entities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the creation and publication of financial statements for corporate entities in accordance with GAAP and the overall coordination of all activities supporting operational reporting requirements. Completes and coordinates as necessary all finance processes related to the corporate entities. In addition, this position will be responsible for the coordination of corporate entity external audits and annual tax returns. This position reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) and will have frequent interaction with Executive Management.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all activities of the accounting department and ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual audits.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and consistent learning.
  • Ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
  • Lead and support the company's strategic planning and budgeting processes.
  • Ensure the company is in compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensure filings are completed in a timely manner.
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics, and oversee the production of regular forecasts.
  • Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation.
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits.
  • Coordinate with tax advisors to prepare federal, state, and local tax returns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the medical industry.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
  • Able to analyze financial records and transfer information.
  • Data analysis and forecasting skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
