We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Fund Accounting in the Private Equity and Real Estate Industry to join our team. This role will offer you the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This is a permanent position that requires a candidate with a strong background in fund accounting, real estate knowledge, private equity, and REIT accounting. The ideal candidate will have a CPA certification and experience from a big 4 firm is considered a plus.
The salary range is around $150,000-200,000 plus a large bonus to take total compensation to $200,000-250,000++

Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Vice President of Fund Accounting, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing and ensuring the accurate calculation of NAV/GAV, share price, waterfall and carried interest calculations, investor capital accounts in accordance with the fund documents.
2. Managing financial close for funds and investor reporting.
3. Applying your expert knowledge of REIT accounting and real estate to deliver high-quality results.
4. Collaborating with other team members to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
5. Implementing and maintaining internal controls and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
6. Assisting with the year-end close process.
7. Utilizing your experience with Yardi to manage and oversee property accounting.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting, with a focus on the mortgage industry.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of real estate, private equity, and REIT accounting.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
6. Experience in investor reporting and financial close for funds.
7. Previous experience in a big 4 firm is considered a plus.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Proven leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
