Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly motivated Permanent Vice President of Construction to join our dynamic team. As the VP of Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing all construction operations within the company. You will be a key member of our executive team, responsible for the strategic direction, financial performance, and operational execution of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
2. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company’s construction operations.
3. Lead the preconstruction process, including budgeting, scheduling, planning, and design.
4. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
5. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
6. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
7. Manage relationships with clients, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
8. Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the construction team, fostering an environment of teamwork, collaboration, and success.
9. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and standards related to construction.
10. Participate in the negotiation and drafting of contracts, bids, and proposals.
11. Review and approve project designs and plans, ensuring they meet company standards and client expectations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.
3. Extensive knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods, and the latest industry trends and best practices.
4. Exceptional project management and preconstruction management skills.
5. Strong operations management abilities, including financial management, strategic planning, and resource allocation.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
7. Proficient in construction management software and other relevant technology.
8. Solid understanding of construction laws, regulations, and safety standards.
9. Ability to anticipate and mitigate risks, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
10. High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
11. Willingness to travel as needed to oversee projects and meet with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
12. Ability to create and foster relationships with a diverse group of clients, contractors, and team members.
