We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President of Finance. This role is integral to our organization as the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in strategic decision-making and operations as they relate to budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and securing new funding.
Responsibilities:
As the Vice President of Finance, your duties will include but not be limited to:
1. Developing and implementing a capital strategy that supports our company's growth and profitability objectives.
2. Evaluating new revenue streams and conducting comprehensive financial analysis to determine their potential impact on the company's bottom line.
3. Leading long-term financial planning and forecasting initiatives to ensure the company's financial stability and growth.
4. Overseeing the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, and presenting them to the board of directors.
5. Conducting cash flow analysis and making recommendations to optimize cash management.
6. Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
7. Maintaining robust internal controls and managing risks to safeguard the company's assets.
8. Implementing and maintaining systems and processes that enable data-driven decision-making.
9. Collaborating with other executive team members to align financial management with short and long-term operational strategies and objectives.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Vice President of Finance position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in capital strategy development, evaluating new revenue streams, and long-term financial planning.
3. Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and conduct cash flow analysis.
4. Extensive knowledge of accounting policies and regulations.
5. Experience in maintaining robust internal controls and risk management.
6. Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with other executives to align financial and operational strategies.
7. Exceptional analytical skills and experience in implementing data-driven decision-making processes.
8. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
9. Professional accounting designation (CFA, CPA, etc.) is considered a strong asset.
