Job Responsibilities

• Lead and support Strengthening HOPE Initiative that values an organizational culture for open communication, innovation, associate engagement and other traits that contribute to collaboration and high performance
• Supervises and trains Assistant Controller and Senior Accountants in all aspects and functions of the department.
• Call Report documentation and submission
• Regularly reviews entries to the general ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles and procedures.
• Preparation of general ledger entries.
• Prepares financial and statistical reports as required.
• Oversight of daily cash and investment management activities
• Lead communications with auditors/examiners
• General administrative duties such as attending meetings, report production, etc.
• Backup Assistant Controller and other Controller as needed
• Coordinates and prepares for financial audits.
• Assists departments in the review of budget reports and in preparation of annual capital, expense, and activity budgets.
• Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and coordinating the completion of the reports.
• Prepares and/or reviews required tax returns.
• Recommends changes in financial policies and procedures, as necessary.
• Monitors established internal controls to assure proper compliance.
• Assists in the preparation of cost reimbursement reports and other interim reports as may be required.
• Assists with planning and implementing changes in the accounting system.
• Other duties as assigned by the SVP of Fiscal, CFO and/or CEO.

Job Qualifications:

• 10+ years experience in accounting or finance including banking, credit union, cost center and/or non-profits.
• Bachelor’ Degree in related field.
• CPA preferred but not required
