Qualifications:
- Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
- Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
- Oversee the production of monthly reports including reconciliations with funders and pension plan, as well as financial statements and cash flow projections for use by Executive management.
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
- Communicate financial metrics and business drivers to stakeholders.
- Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present operational metrics.
- Ensure compliance with the local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
- Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, department budgets, salary updates, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry.
- Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
- Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is required. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and understanding of P&L statements.
- Strong experience in the audit process and account reconciliation.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven strategic planning experience at the management level.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, and with financial reporting software.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
