We are on the hunt for a dynamic and experienced Vice President (VP) of Finance to join our executive team. The VP of Finance will play a critical role in providing financial leadership to drive the company's strategic initiatives, and will ensure our company is on a healthy financial path. This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a competitive compensation package, including benefits.
Responsibilities:
As the VP of Finance, you will:
1. Develop and implement the financial strategy for the company, aligning it with the company's overall objectives.
2. Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and operational budget.
3. Conduct regular profitability analyses and provide insights to the executive team on financial performance.
4. Direct the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to shareholders, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies.
5. Collaborate with the executive team to make decisions regarding company's financial strategy and operations.
6. Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company's plan for growth and expansion.
7. Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership team.
8. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
9. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the VP of Finance position will have:
1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is required.
4. Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
5. Strong experience in profitability analysis and financial analysis.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
7. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the big picture while also diving into details where necessary.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear and concise way.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
10. Proficient in using financial software and MS Office.
