Job Details
RESPONSIBILITIES
Full oversight for accounting, finance, payroll, reporting, compliance, controls, and IT
Responsible for timely, accurate and consistent reporting of financial information, including full monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operations information to the CFO and executive management team and make recommendations on strategy and operations
Implement best practices
Continue to build out the accounting and finance team, developing them accordingly
Act as business partner to CFO on all business matters of the company
Engage with operations to review results and develop forward looking projections
Own system implementations and continually searches for improvements and efficiencies
Development and maintenance of the Company’s controls, accounting policies and procedures, and systems
Manage the Company’s federal, state, local and other tax filings, systems, and processes
Manage the Company’s cash flow, cash management, credit facility, working capital, and company audits
Uses analytics to identify issues and opportunities and to help facilitate solutions and process improvements
Manage banking relationships
Ensure legal compliance in all company matters
Assist with performing due diligence and evaluate new M&A targets and integration of targets
Other duties and projects typical of a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial company
QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate in finance or accounting degree
CPA and MBA highly preferred
10+ years of experience in increasingly complex finance and accounting roles including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
Must have construction, building, or industrial services industry experience
Systems savvy, MUST have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative, fast paced environment with a variety of stakeholders
Willing to “roll up their sleeves” and take on projects and opportunities (even outside of position’s core functional area) to add value to a rapidly growing and entrepreneurial company
Ability to see the big picture while having a high regard for the details
