We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of Permanent Vice President of Sales. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-growth telecommunications company. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our sales strategy, leading our sales team, and spearheading our customer acquisition efforts. The VP of Sales will report directly to the CEO and will be a key member of the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their unique needs and operational challenges.
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends, reporting on the forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products.
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales.
  • Ensure sales team members are on board with company policies and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as a VP of Sales, Sales Director or other senior role.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a high-performing sales team.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors.
  • Demonstrable experience as a sales leader in the telecommunications industry, with a track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Strong understanding of how to manage the sales process from plan to close.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
  • Demonstrable experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • A deep understanding of the telecommunications industry and its sales dynamics.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Willingness to travel.
