Are you a passionate, dedicated, and experienced employment litigation associate? Do you have a knack for handling complex wage-hour class action claims? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are seeking a Permanent Employment Litigation Associate specializing in California wage-hour class action cases. This role requires a strong understanding of California Labor Laws, and the ability to run cases from start to finish. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can effectively manage all aspects of the litigation process, from initiating legal proceedings to final resolution.
Responsibilities:
1. Handling a variety of wage-hour class action claims in accordance with California Labor Laws.
2. Representing clients in court and arguing motions effectively.
3. Drafting and responding to discovery and managing all aspects of litigation.
4. Defending depositions and preparing clients and witnesses for depositions.
5. Running cases from beginning to end, including trial preparation and trial.
6. Advising clients on all aspects of PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) claims.
7. Developing case strategies based on the facts of the case and the client's goals.
8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal principles and developments in employment law.
9. Collaborating with team members to ensure a comprehensive defense strategy.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, with excellent academic credentials.
2. A minimum of 4-8 years of employment litigation experience.
3. Must have significant experience handling California wage-hour class action claims.
4. Proficiency in PAGA and California Labor Laws.
5. Demonstrated ability to run cases from beginning to end.
6. Experience in drafting and responding to discovery, arguing motions, and defending depositions.
7. Must be admitted to practice in the state of California.
8. Proven track record in defense litigation.
9. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
11. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
