Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Manager to join our leading engineering firm. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from receipt to dispatch. Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including shipping and receiving of goods, inventory control, and warehouse organization.
2. Ensuring the safe operation of all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
3. Developing and implementing warehouse policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
4. Coordinating with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to the appropriate locations.
5. Overseeing the training and development of warehouse staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
6. Conducting regular audits of warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
7. Managing warehouse budget and ensuring cost-effective operation.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Manager position will have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in warehouse management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in shipping and receiving, with a strong understanding of inventory control principles.
3. Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. A high level of computer literacy, including proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. A valid forklift operator's license would be an advantage.
