Currently they are looking for to add a Purchasing Manager with buying, distribution, inventory management and leadership experience who can work at their facility in the Milwaukee area.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Understands, upholds, and communicates the company’s guiding principles of culture, teamwork, continuous improvement, results, and customer focus.
Maintains a high level of personal knowledge of all company policies and procedures and acts as a trainer and resource for other employees.
Develops and documents standard operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
Plans, develops, and implements warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
Ensures facility is clean, organized, properly maintained and free of OSHA violations.
Maintains inventory of all warehouse equipment; develops and implements an on-going maintenance plan. Maintains charging stations for powered vehicles.
Updates, Monitors, and communicates scorecards and metrics performance to the team.
Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing damage, and controlling shrinkage. Fully understands inventory processes, analyzes root cause of inventory discrepancies, and works to continuously improve all disciplines to meet KPI objectives.
Determines the most efficient use of resources, including manpower levels, equipment, processes and procedures in order to continuously reduce error rates, improve delivery and accuracy of product to the customer in order to maximize customer satisfaction.
Supports department initiatives and continuous improvement that aligns with our company strategy and key performance metrics.
Confers with other internal departments such as customer service, sales, and purchasing to coordinate distribution center activities.
Gathers and delivers information in a timely manner and communicates effectively at all levels in the organization. Conducts daily and/or weekly team meetings with warehouse supervisors and employees as appropriate.
Conducts performance reviews, both formal and informal, to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the staff. Manages performance issues in a consistent and fair manner.
Ensures all policies and work rules are followed and implemented consistently to ensure a workplace free of discrimination and labor law violations:
Ensures all accident report procedures and investigations are properly followed. Ensures corrective actions are completed as required.
Complies with all environmental regulations regarding the handling, storage, testing and disposal of hazardous and dangerous materials.
Interviews, hires, and supervises warehouse supervisors and leads. Assists with staffing as needed.
Assist functional areas (Picking/Receiving/Inventory) with completion of work tasks.
Assist with general housekeeping of the warehouse area.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s degree in materials management or supply chain is preferred.
5+ or more years’ experience in warehouse operations
