We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Wastewater General Manager to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent role where you will be in charge of managing all aspects of our wastewater operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions in wastewater management, while leading a team of dedicated professionals.
Responsibilities:
As a Wastewater General Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Planning, organizing, and directing the activities related to wastewater treatment and disposal.
3. Coordinating and supervising the work of engineers, technicians, and other staff involved in wastewater operations.
4. Developing and implementing strategic plans, budgets, and performance measures.
5. Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
6. Providing technical advice and support in the design and construction of wastewater infrastructure.
7. Monitoring and evaluating the performance of wastewater systems, implementing improvements where necessary.
8. Ensuring the safety of all employees and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
9. Keeping abreast of latest trends and advancements in the field of wastewater management, incorporating best practices into our operations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Wastewater General Manager position should have the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional engineering license is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the wastewater industry, preferably in the public sector.
3. Extensive knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and technologies, as well as relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
4. Demonstrated experience in the planning, design, and construction of wastewater infrastructure.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
8. Proficiency in using computer software applications relevant to the role.
9. A commitment to sustainability and the development of innovative solutions in wastewater management.
